HEADRICK , RAYMOND ARCHIE (RAY FOX) born September 24, 1928, went to be with the Lord Saturday April 12, 2008 at Ft. Sanders Hospital. Ray was born in East Tennessee. He was a life member of Nashville Musician's Union #257 and had just celebrated his 50th year of membership. He worked with such greats as: Hank Williams, Sr., Marty Robbins, George Jones and many others, as well as being a house member of the Grand Ole Opry for 17 years. Ray was the oldest of 17 children and is preceded in death by: his father, Olif Raymond Headrick ; mother, Lois Amogene (Rose) Headrick ; brothers, Jerry, Tommy, Roy and David Headrick ; sisters, Betty Jean Covington, and Mary Helen Shook. Survived by: wife, Janie; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Gwen, Jerry and Linda, and Ray and Jessica Headrick ; daughters and son-in-law, Sandy Coffman and Shelia and Donnie Turner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Barbara, Charles and Jan, Edd and Dolly, Frank, Wayne and Martha, Mike, and Johnny and JoAnn Headrick ; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorthy Davis, Judy and Jerry Patterson, and Mary Ruth and Bobby Townsend; uncle, Charles Rose; aunt, Nell Atchley; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Rev. Bobby Townsend and Rev. Tony Grayson officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday for Graveside Services at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. www.rosemortuary.com
