THOMPSON, MARTHA ELIZABETH - age 93 of Strawberry Plains, TN, departed this life peacefully on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation Center. Preceded in death by parents, Horace Maynard, Sr. and Lula Thomas Thompson; son, Bobby Thompson; 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Survived by sister, Louise Ray of Knoxville; devoted nephew, Kenneth Thompson of Strawberry Plains, TN; granddaughter, Amanda Thompson and daughter-in-law, Deborah Thompson-Jackson of Knoxville, TN; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and devoted friends. Family will receive friends from 6 - 7 pm on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Goodes Temple AME Zion Church in Strawberry Plains, TN. Graveside service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Eastview Memorial Gardens. Arrangements By Unity Mortuary.
