Eugene Rex "Speedy" Sharp, age 88 of Sevierville passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014. He was an ordained Baptist minister and a lifetime member of Bethel Baptist Church. Speedy worked 47 years at Cherokee Textile Mills and he was an avid U.T. sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Millie Sharp; brothers, Brad and Willis Sharp; sister, Ruby Patterson
His survivors include:

Sons: Stewart E. Sharp and wife Freda, John David Sharp
Grandchildren: Christy Valentine and husband Clinton, Brandon E. Sharp and wife Emily, Brittany V. Sharp
Great-grandchildren: Kyle Rogers, Zane Valentine, Hannah Sharp, Halie Sharp and Aaron Sharp
Brother-in-law: Jimmy Rex Boling
Nephews: Wayne Patterson, Herbert Sharp, Brian Keith Boling
Nieces: Sandra Coleman, Virginia Nutter
