(Died April 19, 2011) U.S. Veteran Mr. Ronnie Cody,age 64, of Parrottsville, passed away Tuesday morning, April 19, 2011 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Cody was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era and was a member of Parrottsville Volunteer Fire Dept. He was preceded in death by his nephew Fred Ronald Ottinger, aunt Marie Miller, mother-in-law Reba Ottinger, and brother-in-law Fred Ottinger. He is survived by his wife Linda Cody of the home, sons Kevin Cody of Parrottsville and Jason Williams of Alexandria, VA, grandson Sammy Williams of San Antonio, TX parents Clayton and Edna Cody of Newport, sisters Hellen Ball of Newport and Kathy Raley of Dandridge, brother Randy Cody of Newport, and sister-in-law Eva Joyce Ottinger of Newport. Additional survivors include several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends, including special uncle Glenn Miller of Newport and special friend Lora Sutton of Del Rio, and his pride and joy, little dog Dixie. The service will be held 8:00 pm, Friday, April 22, 2011 at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Jennings officiating. Interment will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 23, 2011 at White’s Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Tennessee National Guard Military Honor Guards. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home, prior to service. Pallbearers will be Mickey Franklin, Tony Hinkle, Shannon Pierce, Johnny Jennings, Eric Hux, and Gary Raley. Honorary pallbearers will be the Innovated Millwright Service Members.
