Sharon retired from AT&T in May, 2001, and was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and the Communications Workers of America. She was an amateur poet and songwriter. With a strong curiosity about everything, Sharon was always eager to learn more. She loved to read and collect books and old movies and had a wonderful sense of humor. Her devotion to her family and friends extended to her pets and all other creatures, great and small. She is preceded in death by her father, Mack. M. Noland. She is survived by: Mother: Aileen Lynch Noland Brother: Gary L. Noland Good friend: Barbara Elkins Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Brenda and Mike Jaynes, Virginia (Ginny) Brown, Connie and Troy Newman, and Vickie Noland Nieces and Nephews: David, Beth, and Daniel Brown, Christy Berry, and Tommy Cowden Great Nephew: Stephen Berry She leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins from the Lynch and Noland families. The family would like to thank Sharon’s good friend of 35 years Carol Watson and her husband Jake for their support and many kindnesses. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sevier County Humane Society Animal Shelter, 959 Gnatty Branch Rd, Sevierville, TN 37862. Funeral service 7 PM Tuesday in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel with Rev. Jerry Lynch officiating. Graveside service and interment 2 PM Wednesday at Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery.
