Artell Gregg Mayfield, age 94, of Cosby, went to be with the Lord, Friday, February 10, 2012 at her home. She was a member of McGaha Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her, husband, Bill Mayfield; daughter, Maggie Shults; son, Lester Mayfield; sons-in-law, Kermit Hartsell, Don Shults; parents Anderson and Cynthia Gregg; brothers, Walter, Dudley, Willis and Carmack Gregg; sisters, Francis Moore, Leatha Buckner, Mildred Williams, Rosie Sexton, Lola Fine and Leoda Blazier. She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Hartsell, Shirley Sutton and her husband Gene; son, Phillip Mayfield and his wife, Norrie; daughter-in-law, Glenda Mayfield; eight grandchildren and eight great-granddaughters; special adopted grandchildren, Josalyn and Mason Cook; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, February 12, 2012 in the Huff and Denton Cemetery, on McGaha Chapel Road, Cosby, with Rev. Steve Shults officiating.
