STALLINGS, ESTELLE LARGE - age 87, of Strawberry Plains, passed away Friday, May 18, 2007 at the home of her son, Gerald Stallings. She was a member of Pleasant Grove (Piney) Baptist Church. For many years, she and her late husband, Rev. J.R. Stallings, served Manfield Gap Baptist Church, Pleasant Grove (Haworth) Baptist, New Salem and Gift Creek Baptist Church, both in Sevier County. In 1976, they moved to Hereford, South Dakota to serve as Missionaries for 3 years. After returning to Tennessee, she served along with her husband as Director of Missions in Grainger County. Preceded in death by parents, Parilee and John Large; sisters, Martha Lee and Kathleen Harkleroad; brother, Junior Large. She was a devoted wife, mother, mamaw and mother-in-law. She is survived by daughter, Phyllis Campbell; sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Gerald and Vivian Stallings of Strawberry Plains, J.R. and Georgia Stallings of Rutledge; grandsons and wives, Alfred and Lori Stallings, Marshall and Heather Callin of Strawberry Plains, Allan and April Stallings of Knoxville, Eric Stallings of Georgia; granddaughter, Sandra Mills; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Sarah, Matthew, James, Shelby & Seth Stallings and Courtney Callin; sisters and brother-in-law, Tommie and Gene Reagan and Hazel Oak; sisters-in-law, Rita Stallings, Ruth Large; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Thelma Rudder, Lucille Lusk and Marie Loy. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Pleasant Grove (Piney) Baptist Church, Rev. Mike Lee and Rev. Chris Taylor officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Fielden Funeral Home New Market. 865-475-3468.
