Max David Johnson, age 75 of Gatlinburg passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013.
Max received a B.A. degree in Health from East Tennessee State University, and worked as a health inspector in North Carolina. He wrote federal grants in Georgia before moving back to Gatlinburg in 1980 where he was involved with the family business, Johnson's Inn.
He enjoyed living one day at a time, working on projects and traveling across country with his wife, Jean, in their motor home. He was a beloved member of First United Methodist Church in Gatlinburg where he was involved in many ministries and outreach programs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Hettie Johnson, sister, Maxine Johnson, brother, Lee Johnson, Jr., daughter, Laura Johnson.

Son: Brently Alan Johnson and wife Britany
Grandchildren: Austen, Daniel (Candyce), and Breanna Bradshaw, Tennegon and Manning Johnson
