HAMPTON - On Thursday, March 20, 2003, our Father brought into his kingdom, Dot Dennis Headrick. Known as "Denny" to friends and loved ones, he was a family man in every sense of the word.
Denny provided for his family through 29 years of loyal service with the CSX Corporation, including 12 years as the District Local Chairman for the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen. He was also proud to be a U.S. Army veteran.
If not at the baseball field with his sons, he enjoyed hunting, fishing or manning the grill at a family cookout or fish fry.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Blanche Headrick.
He enjoyed a 26 years marriage to his beloved wife, Dixie Lee Headrick. He is also survived by two sons, Daniel Wakefield Headrick and Matthew Dennis Headrick; father, Dot O. Headrick; sister, Donna Gail Lintleman and three brothers, Ronnie, David and Roger Headrick.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, at Peninsula Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Monday in Parklawn Memorial Park.
