Sims, Boyd, age 94, of Seymour, TN., passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009. He was born April 11, 1915 in Sevier County, Tennessee and was the last surviving child of Clayton and Carrie Sims. A veteran of WWII, Boyd served in the US Navy. He was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church and the Masters Masonic Lodge #244 F& AM. Boyd was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Sims and infant son, Bobby Jack Sims. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle.
Survivors
Survivors include son, Larry Sims; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Faye Sims and daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and David Patterson.
Service
The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy. with a Masonic and funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM. Rev. Jerry Spangler and Mayford Galyon will be officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 10 AM interment service.
