Dwayne Joseph Flynn, age 72, went to meet his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Dwayne was preceded in death by his father, Conner Flynn; his mother, Lucille Flynn; his much-loved step-father, Grady Flynn and brother, Glenn Flynn.
Dwayne retired as a Lieutenant from the City of Maryville Fire Department. Dwayne began providing student transportation as Flynn’s School Bus Service in 1968 for the City of Maryville and continued to do so until his unexpected death. His valued employees will continue this service until the end of the current school year. Dwayne was a member of Pecks Memorial United Methodist Church, but attended Williamson Chapel United Methodist Church where he served as song leader and other various positions. Dwayne had many valued friends, and is remembered by them for his loving and generous personality. Usually his last words to family and friends would be, “If you need me just let me know”.
Dwayne is survived by his wife, Margaret McCall Flynn; daughter, Maurissa DeAnne Cupp (Chris); granddaughters, Shelby Anne Cupp, Christen Abigail Cupp; sister, Cedith Giles; brother, Mitchell Flynn (Gail), and special friend, Debbie Garibay. Dwayne was a special uncle to his nieces and nephews. If you needed help, “Uncle Dwayne” was there.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel conducted by long-time friend, Rev. Greg Long and Dwayne’s son-in-law, Rev. Chris Cupp. The entombment will follow in Grandview Mausoleum conducted by Rev. Danny Treadway, Pastor of Williamson Chapel United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
