SHUBERT, RUTH LINDSEY -85 of Loudon died Wednesday at Loudon Health Care Center. Ruth was born April 8, 1923 in the Great Smokey Mountains to the late Perry and Frances Husky Lindsay. Her grandmother, Lula Husky was a Cherokee who married John Ownby. When the Park was created, the family was forced to relocate and move to Loudon. Ruth was a member of Central Baptist Church and preceded in death by husband, Vaughn Shubert. Ruth was also preceded in death by first husband, Garth Bivens; sister, Irene Watkins; brother, Clay Lindsay. Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Sarah Ann Bivens, Gary and Joyce Bivens; 2 grandchildren, Heather Bivens and Brook Bivens, Loudon. A special thank you to the staff of Mountain View Assisted Living and Loudon Health Care Center for their wonderful care. Graveside services 11 A.M. Friday Mount Zion Cemetery. Rev.
