FINCHUM, OLIVER BROADY - age 60, passed away Thursday evening, April 22, 1999, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Mr. Finchum was retired from Robert Shaw Controls and was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church. He was Born May 10, 1938, in Sevierville, Tenn., and was preceded in death by: his parents, A.C. Lonzo and Minnie Romines Finchum; and sister, Juanita Davenport. He is survived by: his beloved wife, Carolyn Ruth Finchum; three loving children, daughters, Vickie RoJo and husband, Raymond of Chalmette, La., Treca Deen Finchum of Sevierville; son, Donald Harry Finchum and wife, Sandy of Knoxville; sisters, Imogene Fain, Sevierville, Anna Louise (Bonnie) Finchum, Seymour; brothers, J.W. Finchum and wife, Evelyn, Ralph Finchum and wife, Vita, Hobart Finchum and wife, Jeannie, Mayford Finchum and wife, Karen, Esco (Dink) Finchum and wife, JoAnn, all of Sevierville, Jerry Finchum and wife, Judy of Deer Lodge, Tenn.; one granddaughter, five grandsons and one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Finchum is at Highland South Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy., where the family will receive friends Sunday from 1-3 p.m. with services at 3 p.m. with Rev. Elmer Sharp and Rev. Raymond White officiating. Interment to follow at Highland South Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Wayne Burnette, Jeremie Ruth, Walter Reynolds, Clyde Green, Randy Finchum and Jason Holland.
