August 4, 1946 - January 14, 2015 Resided in Knoxville, TN John Stephen Ellis, age 68 of Knoxville, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as intelligence and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. John was a Knoxville City employee until his retirement. He was a spiritual man of faith. His family was his world. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Toni W. Ellis; parents, John and Edna Ellis; and brother, Scott Ellis. John is survived by his daughters, Whitney and Sayrah Ellis; brother, Jeff Ellis; sister, Lynn Ellis and husband, Roger Richardson; and many cousins. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3pm Sunday, Jan. 18th with the memorial service to follow at 3pm in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
