Herman Williams, age 67 of Seymour passed away at home on Tuesday January 22, 2002, after a six-year bout with cancer. He was a lifetime resident of Sevier County and faithful member of Providence Baptist Church in Seymour. He was retired from Anning and Johnson Construction Company and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by parents Otha and Fleecy Williams and brothers Herbert and Roscoe Williams.

Funeral service 7 PM Friday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Dallas Gibson and Rev. Troy Cody officiating. Family and friends will meet 11 AM Saturday at Highland South Cemetery in Knoxville for interment. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Williams, Tim and Travis Matthews, Mickey, Tony, Brad, Steve and Chad Williams. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
