BROCK , THERON A. (T.A.) - born December 20, 1926, died Monday, January 20, 2003. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, Bearden, where he had served as a life time deacon, trustee, teacher, and usher. He was a Veteran of World War II. He retired with over 33 years of service with Exxon Corporation worked for 40 years with the University of Tennessee Athletic Department as Gate Usher. Preceded in death by parents, Dewey and Ethel Moon Brock . Survived by devoted loving wife, Edna Collier Brock daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Mick Galbraith, Brenda and Tom Kenney, Robin and Doug Triplett grandchildren, Jordan Triplett, Kris Kenney, Kara Kenney, Nathan McNabb, Amy Lamitina and husband, Dave great-grandchildren, Dylan Kenney brother and sister-in-law, Dwight and Juanita Brock sister, Dorothy Brock sisters-in-law, Minnie Cline and Irene Collier, and several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Dr. Larry Fields and Rev. Archie Fendley officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery with Full Military Honors presented by the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers: Nathan McNabb, Kris Kenney, Steve Flynn, Steve Collier, Jim McNabb, Don Collier, and Dave Lamitina. Honorary Pallbearers: Hoyt Steed, Dick Owens, Deacons of Central Baptist Church, Kenneth Brown, Paul Walker, Ken Whitehead, Bill Higdon, Exxon Annuitants, Gate Keepers and Supervisors at U. T. Arena. The family requests, memorial donations be made to the Central Baptist Church, Bearden, 6300 Deane Hill, Drive, Knoxville, TN 37919. Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel, in charge of arrangements.
