Mabel Louise Gillespie, 87, of Seymour went home to be with her Lord and other family members on March 12, 2003. Mrs. Gillespie was a long-time member of the Dupont Baptist Church. She was also the last surviving child of Decatur and Cora Jenkins Gibson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Gillespie. Survivors are daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Lowell Cook of Knoxville, Wilma and Arnold Cotter of Seymour: grandchildren, Steve Cook and wife Susan, Mike and Chris Cotter: great grandchildren, Andrew Cook and Destiny Cotter. Besides the immediate family members many nephews, nieces and a host of friends will miss Mabel. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at Highland South Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Troy Cody officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday, March 14 at Rawlings Funeral Home in Sevierville, TN.
