James Earl Cole, 77, of Sevierville passed away Sunday, July 25, 2004 at Fort Sanders Sevier Nursing Home.
James was of the Baptist faith and during WWII he served his country in the army in Japan.
Preceding James in death are his parents, Leonard and Martha McCarter Cole; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Leaving behind to mourn his passing is his wife, Frances Smith Cole; children, Lynn Cole and wife Sue, Mary Jane Manis and husband Hubert, Ronald Cole and wife Kathy all of Sevierville, Tony Cole and Mike Cole of Knoxville, Tammy Whaley of Sevierville; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sisters, June Brackins of Pigeon Forge and Gladys Taylor of Gatlinburg.
Service will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ed Parton officiating. The family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 29 at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Blount County for interment. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 28 at Rawlings Funeral Home.
