Gene (Marvin E.) Neubert, age 83, of Friendsville, passed away at his home on April 10, 2010. He loved the water and was an avid boater. Gene was a WWII veteran, a Shriner, and a 32nd degree Mason. He owned Black?s Radiator and A/C for fifty years and sold the business in 2001. Gene Neubert was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nettie Kate Clarke Neubert; sister, Nina Ruth Acuff; son, Marty Neubert; and wife, Marion Dyer Neubert. He is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Wanda Willocks Neubert; daughters and son-in-law, Sandra and Mitch Price, and Vicki Neubert; grandchildren and spouses, Kimberly McCroskey, Jama and Chris Phillips, and Devon McCroskey; Great-grandchildren, Jessica Sampson, Tyler McCroskey, Asha Phillips, and Jadyn Phillips; Great-great Grandson, Gaven McLemore. He is also survived by special cousins and will be missed by many friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 with the Funeral Service and Masonic Service to follow in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Glenn Grubb and Rev. A. L. Neubert officiating. Interment service will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors conducted by the East Tennessee Honor Guard.
