Samuel Andy Caughron Sr, age 88 of Sevierville, went to be with the Lord in His Heavenly Home on Saturday, October 18, 2014. He served in World War II in the Army. Mr. Caughron was a precious and loving husband, father, grand and great grandfather. He was a faithful member of Millican Grove Baptist Church for many years. Andy, "Dad" and "Papaw" will be missed by loving family and friends and will be cherished by the memories that he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his mother Maude Atchley Caughron and his father Samuel Judson Caughron Sr, his wife Rachel Caughron, his son Roy W. Caughron, and his brother Judson Caughron.
Mr. Caughron is survived by his children Sam Caughron and wife Brenda, Mary Frances Caughron, Herb Caughron and wife Pam, Sandra Jean Tillotson and husband Creig; his grandchildren Stacey Manis and husband Jeff, Sara Parton and husband Chad, and Andy Caughron and wife Mandy, and his great- grandchildren Emily Jennings, Hannah Manis, Samuel Jennings, Ian Manis, Reed Parton, Miley Parton, Gracie Caughron, and Kaelyn Caughron
Pallbearers: Joe Huskey, Daniel Adams, Billy Caughron, Andy Caughron, Jeff Manis, and Chad Parton.
Honorary Pallbearers: Samuel Jennings, Ian Manis, Reed Parton, Wayne Spence, and Steve Banks
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Millican Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 1559 Allensville Road, Sevierville, TN 37876.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Monday with a funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. W.A. Galyon and Rev. David Hodges officiating.
