(January 30, 1928 - July 4, 2016)
Ruby Smith Watson, 88 of Gatlinburg, took the hand of Jesus her Savior on July 4, 2016 and was lead into Heaven, where much of her family was waiting for her. Born January 30, 1928 in Sevier County to the late Robert and Evelyn Smith. Ruby was a member of Roaring Fork Baptist Church. Ruby worked in Gatlinburg in several shops before retiring at the age of 84. She was a great cook and seamstress, and enjoyed a good laugh. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Warren Watson, sister: Mildred Howe and her husband, Eddie, brothers: Henry and Carl (Pete) Smith.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Donna Watson Messer and husband, Bill of Sevierville.
Grandchildren: Leslie McMahan of Pigeon Forge, David and Chasidy McMahan of Rome, GA. great grandchildren: Rian and Hannah McMahan. Several nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law: Crettie Smith.
Graveside services will be held at 9:00 AM, Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Smokey Mountain Memory Gardens with Rev. David McMahan officiating.
