Lue Crettie Teaster, age 88 of Sevierville, passed away Friday evening
October 20, 2006 at Fort Sanders Sevierville Medical Center. She was of the
Baptist faith and was baptized as a young girl on Roaring Fork.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Amos and Juliette Bales Eslinger;
husbands: John R. Thompson, Ira Whaley, and Clifford Teaster; Brother:
Tipton Eslinger; son: Cecil Whaley; daughters: Nell McClure, and Ruth Ogle;
grandchildren: Dwayne Newman, and Nancy White; great grandchild Sammy
Garner.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law: Dorothy and Otis Newman of
Clarkrange, TN; sons and daughter in law: John Audley and Julia Thompson of
Sevierville, and Glenn Thompson of ; son in law and daughter in law Otha
and Millie McClure or Newport; brothers and sister in law: John and Brenda
Eslinger, and Amos Dot Eslinger all of Sevierville; step children: Von and
Rex Teaster of Sevierville, Freda Herrmann of Clewiston, FL, and Veryl
Morrison of Bath, MI.; 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 14
great-great grandchildren; also several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening October 22, 2006 from 5:00
until 7:00 PM in the chapel of the Rawlings Funeral Home. Family and
friends will gather Monday morning October 23, 2006 in the Jakes Creek
Cemetery at 11:00 AM for the Graveside funeral service with the Reverends
Jimmy Reagan and Edward King Officiating.
