Waynesville—Louise Reagan Crayne, age 73, of 46 Playground Street, died Friday, December 26, 2003 at her residence.
A native of Sevier County, Tennessee, she had lived most of her life in Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late George and Rebecca Parton Reagan. She was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph ''Joey'' C. Crayne, Jr., who died in 1987 and a son-in-law, Kenneth S. Inman, Sr. who died in 1995. She was a member of Allen's Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, J.C. Crayne, Sr.; two daughters, Sharon C. Inman and Kay C. Queen, both of Charleston, South Carolina; two sisters, Eula R. Kirkpatrick of Hazelwood and Jean R. Manis of Sevierville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Kenneth S. Inman, Jr., Jon D. Inman, Jennifer L. Queen, all of Charleston, South Carolina, and 1st Lt. James W. Queen Jr., Marine Corp of Okinawa, Japan; two great grandchildren, Joseph Morgan Queen and Emma Helen Inman.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2003 at Allen's Creek Baptist Church where the body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to services. The Reverend Eddie Deitz and Reverend Carl Presnell will officiate. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville. Serving as pallbearers will be Max D. and Ritchie S. Kirkpatrick, Winston Gaddy, Dennis Early, Tim Buchanan, and Jeff A. Horton.
