Ray K. Lane, 76, of White Pine died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.He was a retired employee of BASF with over 40 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a combat veteran of World War II and was of Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by a brother. His parents were C.C. and Georgia Lane.Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Lane; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles R. and Trish Lane, Harold D. and Dorothy Lane; grandsons, Keith, Kenny and Jeff Lane; granddaughter, Tammy Lane; brothers and sister-in-law, J.C. Lane, Tidience and Anna Mae Lane; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Yang Holiway and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services were Friday at Farrar White Pine Chapel with the Rev. Randy Iorns officiating. Interment graveside service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Sevier County with military honors by Volunteer State Honor Guard.
