She was born Earnestine Whaley on February 03, 1943, to Wiley and Hattie (Lethco) Whaley at Sevierville, Tennessee, where she grew up and received her education, graduating from Sevier County High School in 1961. She then attended the Knoxville Business College.

She is survived by her husband, MSG Edward Dodgin, U.S. Army, retired. Three sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory S. and Yoshimi Dodgin; Clifford K. and Laura Dodgin all of Mountlake Terrace and Michael J. and Sheryl Dodgin of Hayward, California. One grandson, Eddie Dodgin and one granddaughter, Nina Dodgin. One brother, Stewart Whaley of Sevierville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Dodgin in 1971.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date and she will be laid to rest with her son, Douglas Edward Dodgin in the Peshastin, Washington Cemetery.
Ward's Funeral Chapel, of Leavenworth, Washington, is in charge of the arrangements.
