Charles Robert Allen, 83, of Sevierville went home to be withthe Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2004. Charles began his glorious journey at Pigeon Forge Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Allen was a lifelong member of Evans Chapel Baptist Church.
Waiting to greet Charles in Heaven were his parents, Leonard and Tilda Hurst Allen; son, Bobby Eugene Allen and 1 brother and 1 sister.
Leaving behind to mourn his passing, but celebrating his life is his loving wife of 64 years, Vergie Williams Allen; sons, Raymond "Woody" Allen and wife Dorothy, Rev. Ronnie Allen and wife Barbara, Fred Allen and wife Ina Allen; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Malone Allen; 4 grandsons, 3 grand daughters, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Service will be 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2004 at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with Rev. Doug Messer and Elder Glen Henry officiating. Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 6 at Evans Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 p.m. Monday, January 5 at Rawlings Funeral Home.
