Cook Age 86 of Sevierville, TN. passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 31, 2006 at St. Mary’s Hospice in Knoxville, TN. Dorothy was active in many organizations such as American Legion Auxillary post 104, Fort Sanders Sevier Hospital Auxillary Girl Scouts and The Rescue Squad. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sevierville. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, W.R. Cowden and Sue Helton Bradley Cowden; Step Mother, Verna Lawson Cowden; her first husband, Luther Caughron Sr., Second husband, F. Earl Cook; Son, Luther Caughron Jr.; Sister, Jane Hellard. Survivors include, daughter, Evelyn Myers and husband, Nick; Grandchildren, Cheri Czajkowski and husband, Jim; Maria Dowers and husband, Adam; Emily Pitruzzello of Alabama; Step Grandchildren, Eric Myers and Jason Pitruzzello, Great Grandchildren, Josh and Zak Czaikowski and Abagail Dowers; Brother, John B. Cowden and wife, Beulah; several Nieces and Nephews and a host of friends. Special friends Jack and Elizabeth Denton. A special thanks to St. Mary’s Hospice and Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital for the excellent care given to Dorothy during her illness. Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Rawlings Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Hyder officiating. Interment will follow the service in Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 P.M. Monday, April 3, 2006 at Rawlings Funeral Home.
