Herbert O. “Hoss” Murrell, age 73 of Seymour, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 6, 2002.
Mr. Murrell was a member and inactive deacon of First Baptist Church, Seymour. He retired from the Aluminum Company of America – Tennessee Operations in 1992 after 39 years of service. Mr. Murrell served as chaplain of the United Steel Workers, Local 309. He was an original member of Company B 180th Infantry, 45th Infantry Divison (Korea).
Mr. Murrell was preceded in death by parents Otha and Maggie Murrell; grandson Austin Taylor Nickle; niece Sherry Reagan; nephew Randy Banks; aunt Bonnie Lowe

Funeral service 7 PM Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. R.M. Everett and Rev. Clarence Gresham officiating. Interment 2 PM Sunday at Highland-South Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Yates officiating. The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
