Junior Etherton, 77, of Life Care East, formerly of the Farmer’s Livestock Market for 45 years, passed away Monday afternoon, April 25, 2005, a the Life Care Center of Greeneville.
He was retired from Farmer’s Livestock Market.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Etherton; daughter and son-in-law, Carlotta and Bill Holt, of Newport; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Jack and Glenna Etherton, Gary Etherton, Mike Etherton, Bill Etherton, all of Greeneville.
Grandchildren, Melanie and Ben Holt, of Newport; Dylan, Lexi, Chloee Etherton, of Greeneville; and Megan Etherton, of Greeneville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Reed, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Strange, Mrs. Edgar Turner, and Mrs. Blanche Hurley, of Greeneville; and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lukovics, of Morristown; a host of nieces and nephews; and friends from Life Care Center of Greeneville.
He was the son of the late Ernest and Jetta Smith Etherton and was preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Kay Etherton; brothers, John Etherton, Fred Etherton, James “Snowball” Etherton, Buddy Etherton, and Carl Etherton.
Funeral service will be held 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Kiser Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Frank Lethcoe officiating.
Interment will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ben Holt, William Ross, Quinten Johnson, Mark McNeese, Charles McNeese, and Mark Burns.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday preceding the funeral service.
Kiser Funeral Home, Greeneville, in charge of arrangements.
