Paul Cannon were married March 1, 1947 in the parsonage of the New Hopewell Baptist Church. J.H. Smothers officiated the ceremony. Rose Cannon and Ethel Reed served as witnesses. The bride’s parents were James and Ethel Reed. The groom’s parents were Kelly and Rose Cannon. Mr. Cannon is retired as president of Knoxville Mack. Mrs. Cannon is a housewife. The couple had five children: Jim Cannon, Mary Lee Stinnett, John Cannon, Robert Cannon (deceased) and Michael Richard Cannon (deceased). The have seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
