Sheltons celebrate 65th anniversary Clarence and Mary (Crumb) Shelton of Newport celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last Wednesday. They were married by the Rev. Cecil Brockwell at his home on April 15, 1950. He was employed by Stokely’s and later retired from Quaker Oats, and she is retired from Newport Grammar School. They are members of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. Their daughter and son-in-law Ann and Gary Wilson treated them to a celebratory dinner on Saturday, April 18, at the Greenbrier Inn.
