Teague-Compton engagement
Julie Beth Teague, daughter of Randall B. and Terri Lowe Teague, of Tyrone, Ga., formerly of Maryville, is engaged to marry Matthew Gregory Compton, son of Gregory Paul and Janice Horton Compton, of Acworth, Ga., formerly of Kingsport, at 5 p.m. Oct. 13 at Flat Creek Baptist Church, Fayetteville, Ga. Invitations will be sent.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Eileen Coulter Lowe, of Maryville, the late Gerald Thomas Lowe, Bill D. Teague and Mary Hale Teague, of Maryville.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of Rudolph Paul Compton and Orpha Maude Compton, of Kingsport, Lillian Marjorie Horton, of Kingsport, and the late Dewey Horton.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Sandy Creek High School and the University of West Georgia, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and master’s degree in art education. She was employed by Fulton County Schools, Georgia, as an elementary art teacher for six years and is now an art teacher at Lafayette Christian Academy in LaGrange, Ga.
The bridegroom-to-be is a graduate of North Cobb High School and holds a degree in automotive paint and repair from Voids Valley Tech. He is employed as a paint design and repair technician with Kia of West Point, Ga.
