Inducted in the US Army 7 May 1942 at Fort Oglethorep, George. He was then
transfered to Camp Wheeler, Georgia, Fort Riley, Kansas in September 1942,
later at Yuma, Arizona. Shipped to Germany from Fort Dix, N. J.
