    Virginia. She worked for a time for the Navy in Washington, DC and then as a
    secretary for a photography studio and as secretary for a church. She continued
    to work, after marrying Charles Allen Moore until their first child was born.

    Betty has lived in several states due to her husband being transferred from one
    area to another. They were living in Chester, Virginia in 1995.

  3. 14.  George Mack Stinnett was born 28 Oct 1896, Ennis, Texas (son of Richard J. "Dickey" Stinnett and Katie McGaha); died 13 Jan 1958, Alexanderia, Virginia; was buried Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington County, Virginia.

    Notes:

    George enlisted in the Army at eighteen years of age in 1914. He attained the
    rank of Master Hospital Sergeant. He said that after flunking the physical
    examination for being under weight, he went out and bought a dozen bananas and
    returned after eating them to be weighed again and this time just barley passed.

    He received his medical training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas and served in the
    base hospital there until 1917. He was then sent to Long Island, New York and
    left the USA in June of 1917, to serve in France. He returned after the death
    of his father to help his family.

    George worked for Champion Papers for a time and then worked at Sayles
    Bleacheries as an electrician. Later he found a job with the U. S. Naval Gun
    Factory in Washington, DC. He lived with his family in Alexandria, Virginia
    until his death.
