    Notes:

    Eli was a farmer and a Baptist minister. He was severely injured at a log rolling which resulted in his death. He left a will dated 16 March 1867 in which he named his wife, Mary, and four children. (Will Book I, p116)

His name is also recorded in the church minute books for the White Oak Flats Baptist Church. Death dates are given there for him and his second wife.
