Jewell Clair Clark, age 82 of Sevierville, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010. She was a member of Gists Creek Baptist Church and was a writer for Tri County News. Jewell was preceded in death by her parents Preston and Iona Clark; brothers Fred and Wilbur Clark; sisters Wanda Byrd and Clarice Hockenjos; brothers-in-law Mutt White, Jackie Byrd and Lewis Hockenjos.
She is survived by her sister Ailene White; several nieces, nephews and cousins; sisters-in-law Ruth Clark and Ilo Clark.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Gists Creek Cemetery Fund, c/o Sam Sutton, 590 Indian Gap Rd, Sevierville, TN 37876.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Murr and Rev. W.A. Galyon will officiate.
