Cleo Bell Smith, 89, of Hartford, passed away at her home, Wednesday, January 7, 2004.
She was member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Euel Smith; son, Barnette Dorian (Maurice) Smith; and infant daughter, Gladys Marie Smith.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Aileen and Willie Stokely, of Hartford; Shirley and Burl Roberts, Marilyn and Charles Manes, Maxine and Ralph Stokely, all of Newport; son, Denmon and friend Carolyn; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Evangeline Smith, of Hartford; grandchildren, Dr. Tommy Roberts and wife Kelley, of Columbus, Ohio; Dr. Traci Collier and husband Doug, of Woodstock, Ga.; Teresa Solomon and husband Tim, Jennifer Stokely, of Newport; Marci Smith, Amy Smith and husband Terrance, of Del Rio; Seth Smith, of Hartford; Mallory Smith, of Newport; special caregiver, Dorothy Walker; great-grandchildren, Cory and Chesney Smith, Dillon and Taylor Denton, Maggie Gregg, Chloe Smith, Grace Collier, and Eli Nelson; seven step-grandchildren; sixteen step-great-grandchildren; ten step-great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Arthur and Dean Smith, of Del Rio; sisters-in-law, Louie Turner, of Knoxville; Iva Freeman, Loiree Collins, Bureda Finchum, Belle Smith, all of Del Rio.
Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Friday evening, January 9, at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Arthur Willis, Rev. Steve Smith, and Rev. Fred Cagle officiating.
Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Clark Cemetery in Del Rio.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
