Reverend Roy Gladys Ball, 89, of Sevierville went to be with the Lord Thursday Oct. 28, 2004. Rev. Ball pastured several churches in the area. As a devoted member of Bethany Baptist Church he held revivals and taught singing lessons in the late 1960ís and early 1970ís. Rev. Ball also ministered to the Cherokee at Wright Creek Baptist Church in Cherokee, NC. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Rev. Ball spent his life in servitude to God, country and his underprivileged brethren.
He was preceded in death by his father Charlie Ball, mother Dessie Justus Ball, sisters Nina Breeden and Verna Thomas and loving wife of 55 years Mattie Lavern Ball.

Funeral service 2 PM Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church. Rev. Donald Rolen, Rev. Andy Ball and Rev. Ricky Hurst officiating. Interment will follow in Eledge Cemetery.
