Resided in Seymour, TN
Winfred L. Green, age 73 of Seymour, TN, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015. Winfred was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Bell's Chapel Baptist Church for over 40 years. After service in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam War, he moved to Seymour and worked at Ceil Heat, Robert Shaw, the National Park Service and retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation in the Highway Department, making many friends along the way. He enjoyed playing basketball at Pittman Center High School and later on watching his children, grand-children and UT during their ballgames. He was an avid gardener and took pleasure in sharing his produce with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Green and Dixie Ogle Green; brothers, A. J. Green and Coy Green.

Son and daughter-in-law: Keith Green and wife Shelina Green
Daughters and son-law: Kristi Green Inman and Jennifer Green Suttles and husband Randy Suttles.
Grandchildren: Crystal Suttles Frye and husband Jordan Frye, Courtney Suttles Owens and husband Tyler Owens, Atticus Green, and Dallas Inman
Great Grandchildren: Jaxxon Botkin, Paisley Frye, and Walker Owens
Brother and sister-in-law: Ray Green and wife Marie
Sisters and brothers-in-law: Doris Thomas, Winnie Joyce Ballard and husband Jim, Mary Ellen Norris and husband Jerry
Sister-in-law: Betty Cogdill and husband Xan Cogdill
Special Friend: Bill Case
Special thanks to co-workers Brad Oakley, Carter Moulden and Terry Bradshaw. Also, thanks to UT Hospice, Comfort Care, the "Pam's" and Sabrina for excellent care.
The family will receive friends 5- 7 PM Tuesday with a funeral service to follow at 7 PM in Atchley's Seymour Chapel with Rev. David Gibson, Rev. Andy Miller and Rev. Mike Beck officiating. Interment 11 AM Wednesday in Atchley's Seymour Memory Gardens. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
