• Notes

  Aaron served during the Civil War with Co E, 9th Tennessee Cavalry Volunteers. He enlisted at Sevierville, 1 Oct 1863 and was mustered in at Knoxville 28 Oct 1863. Aaron injured his leg while on duty and remained in the Brownlow Hospital at Knoxville from Jan 1865 until he was discharged 26 Aug 1865. ---------- Reference: "Smoky Mountain Clans", Donald B.
