SWEET, SHIRLEY ANN GIBSON age 64 of Corryton, passed away Tuesday May 29, 2007 at St Mary's Hospital. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and retired from Knox County Schools in 1999 as a Teaching Assistant. Preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Gibson; father and mother-in-law, O.V and Hazel Sweet; infant brother, David Gibson. Survivors include: her husband of 44 years, Otie Sweet; daughter, Susan Sweet; grandson, Ryan Baker; father, Earnest Gibson and wife Toy; brother Rick Gibson and wife Barbara; sisters, Cathy Bryant and husband Allen, Onita McCaulley and husband John; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Thursday with the funeral service to follow 8:00pm in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. Interment services will be 1:00pm Friday at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Darrell Bryant, Johnny McCaulley, Patrick Effler, Charlie Gibson, Doug Cole, and Dewayne Cole; the honorary pallbearers will be: Rick Gibson, David Cope Jr., and Charles Cope. Memorial donations may be made to: The Diabetes Association Knoxville Office, 900 E. Hill Avenue Suite, Knoxville, TN 37915.
