The future bridegroom is the grandson of Wanda Smith, of Maryville, the late Odell Smith, Joe D. and Elizabeth Kimsey, of Rockford, and the late Mary Kathryn Carter. The bride-to-be is a May 2010 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a master's degree in elementary education. The bridegroom-to-be will graduate in December 2010 from Carson-Newman College with a degree in physical education and leisure sciences. He is a youth director at Blue Springs Baptist Church, Rutledge.
