Maples, James W. age 89 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, during D-Day, Normandy invasion. He was retired from Cincinnati Milacron. Preceded in death by his wife, Millie Maples; parents, Robert T. and Lucy Maples; two step-sons, J.C. Flowers and Orville Flowers. Survivors include step-son, Harley Flowers; brother, Robert T. Maples; sister, Dorothy Garner all of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. The graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. George Macht officiating. Friends may call at their convenience after 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2006 at Smith Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
