BLACK MOUNTAIN - William Lowell Clements Jr., 80, of Hill Street, died Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at Memorial Mission Hospital.
A native of Black Mountain, he was the son of the late William L. and Sallie McAfee Clements Sr. He was chief engineer at WSKY Radio and later retired after 22 years at Blue Ridge Broadcasting-Billy Graham Association.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Belle Stepp Clements three sons, John W. Clements of Black Mountain, David T. Clements and William Clements III, both of Swannanoa two grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Black Mountain Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member, with the Rev. Walter Styles and the Rev. James A. Cogswell officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home.
