COUNTS, MAY HAMILTON BUCKNER - age 89 of Maryville died at 2:24 a.m. Thursday, August 26, 1999 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville where she was a Primary Department worker and pianist for several years. She was also a pianist for Everett Senior Citizens Gingham Band. Preceded in death by: husband, William Lester Counts; parents, Joshua and Laura Buckner; sisters, Florence Kidd, Grace Donaldson. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Norris and wife Alice Counts of Maryville and Lynn and wife Katrina Counts of Lake City, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Kenneth Brown of Huntsville, AL; 5 grandchildren, Rene' Cordell, Natalie Kennedy, Donna Irwin, Barry Counts, Sheila Smith; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Buckner of Maryville; brothers, Henry J. Buckner of Maryville and Joshua P. Buckner of Louisville; several special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 28, 1999 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Charles Ballard and Dr. John Sharp officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 28, 1999, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
