Leroy Grooms, of Parma, Ohio, formerly of Newport, died Tuesday, March 30, at Parma General Hospital in Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Lavania Grooms, of Parma, Ohio; stepdaughter, Patty; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Carolyn Grooms of Newport, and Lawrence and Grace Grooms of Newport; sister, Bonnie Shults of Cosby; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 3, at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andrew Norton and Rev. Graydon Mathis officiating. Burial will be in the Grooms Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Williams, Ronnie Shults, Gary Shults, Wade Grooms, Larry Grooms, Charles Grooms, John Jones, and Ronnie Phillips.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. prior to the funeral at Manes Funeral Home.
Manes Funeral Home, Newport, is in charge.
