Norman Joseph Naquin, Sr., 69, a native of Galliano, La., and a long-time resident of Maryville, peacefully went to be with his Lord on May 23, 2009, at the home of his son in Beech Island, S.C. He was retired from Rice Chrysler Dodge and was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville. He was also a tribal member of the Bayou Lafourche Band of Biloxi-Chitimach Indians. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Andrew and Telosia Naquin; brother, Tony Naquin; and wife, Mary Clabo Naquin. Survivors include two sons, Norman Joseph Naquin, Jr., of Dahlonega, Ga., and Jonathan T. Naquin, of Beech Island, S.C.; two daughters, Hallie Lee Avery, of Cumming, Ga., and Becky Cheramie of Golden Meadow, La.; one brother, Ronald Naquin, of Galliano, La.; and three sisters, Eunice Aucoin of Galliano, La.; Teresa Raley, of Golden Meadow, La.; and Hazel Hearty, of Pearl River, La., 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Naquin’s personal caregiver, Becky Elliott. Appreciation is also expressed to Dr. Mazen Hatab and the exemplary employees of the East Tennessee Dialysis Center. A visitation will be held from 6:30-7 p.m. with memorial service to follow at 7. p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Maryville, 202 W. Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville.
