He is survived by his wife, Vada Jean Mathis; son and daughter-in-law, Roger Lynn and Sharon Rene Mathis; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Ida Mathis; sister, Leta Mae Webb; grandchildren, Kaleb Lynn Mathis, Ronald Blake Mathis and Buddy McCarter; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Services will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in Manes Funeral Home West Chapel, with Rev. Leon Large officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
