BEST, RONALD DAVID - age 60 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He served in the Armed Forces and was in management at Emerys 5 & 10, Big K and retired from Walmart. He was an employee of Colvin & Sons. Mr. Best was a member of Carpenters United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by: Father, Edgar Best; Sister, Ethleen Baumgardner; Mother-in-law, Edna Tucker. Survivors include: Wife of 41 years, Eleanor Best; Mother, Edith Best; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Randy & Lisa Best, Todd & Donna Best, Trent and Sandra Best; Grandchildren, Chase, Cody, Maranda, Landon and Tristan Best all of Maryville; Sister, Jean Everett of Ohio; Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Frances and CA Graves, Sue and Bob Carpenter; Brother, James Best; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Harold and Alice Best, Paul and MaryAnn Best all of Maryville; Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law, Clara and Rondal Coffey of VA; Sister-in-law, Janice Russell of Alcoa; Brother-in-law, James Tucker of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Saturday, April 6, 2002 in the West Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, with Rev. Brian Herron, Dr. Jerry Russell, and Rev. Louis Ketron officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 7, 2002 at Carpenters Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery.
