Kiser, age 71 of Maryville died Friday, July 23, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He attended Unitia Free Holiness Church in Friendsville, retired from ALCOA and was a member of ALCOA's 25-Year Club. John served in the United States Navy and was a loving father and grandfather. Preceded in death by: parents, Walter and Dorris Kiser. Survivors include: loving wife of 47 years, Barbara Kiser; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Tracy Smith of Maryville and Patricia and Richard Alston of Seymour; grandchildren, Jessica, Patrick, Andrew and Tabitha; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Cora Kiser of Maryville, Tom and Tammy Kiser of GA; brother, Willis Kiser of Maryville; sisters, Beth and husband Orville Walker of Maryville, Nellie McGheehan of Knoxville, and Alice Russell of Walland. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 25, 2004 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for graveside service and entombment with Rev. Bob Nuchols officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 24, 2004, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.smithmortuary.com.
